Role & Responsibilities :
The Manager of Operations, is responsible for overseeing the operational activities of clients US headquarters in Irwin, PA.
This includes the engineering responsibility for the Abrasive Flow Machining (AFM) and Micro-Flow (MF) technologies plus the local Capital Equipment project management, Sourcing, Assembly and Testing.
As a key leader of the business, the Manager of Operations will be responsible to execute the business plans and the strategic plans by promoting teamwork, personal responsibility, and driving ingenuity and productivity.
Strong focus on the customer, front line obsession and drive for innovation are key fundamental values for the Manager of Operations.
Company has built a significant long-standing customer base with a strong aftermarket business and a growing business in attractive Industry segments.
The Manager of Operations needs to have bias for action, entrepreneurial behavior, and be able to foster trust from all employees to be able to grow the business and achieve the next level of performance.
The Manager of Operations will report to the Managing Director of US / North America Operations. He or she will need to work with the global colleagues in Europe and Asia to drive technology enhancements, cost reductions and efficiency through global sourcing and standardization of processes and products.
Qualifications and Education Requirements :
- Engineering Degree or related field experience
- 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing operations position
- Hands on style of working, managing the team and developing oneself to become a resident expert with internal company manufacturing processes
- Strong leadership skills to either drive or support global projects with colleagues from all functions in the Europe and Asia.
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills (in English)
- Strong analytical skills combined with working knowledge of Microsoft software tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project) and ERP (Proficient in SAP)
- Track record of implementing and sustaining manufacturing processes that result in exceptional quality products by process control and continuous improvement Lean, 6 Sigma, etc.
