Job Summary :
The Construction Project Manager will oversee various construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Planning and Scheduling :
- Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications and standards are met.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
- Budget Management :
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and resource allocation.
- Monitor and control project costs to avoid budget overruns.
- Approve and track expenditures and manage procurement processes.
- Team Leadership and Coordination :
- Lead project teams, including subcontractors and construction workers.
- Conduct regular project meetings to update stakeholders on project status, issues, and risks.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Quality Control :
- Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Risk Management :
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain and update risk management plans throughout the project lifecycle.
- Respond to project emergencies and issues effectively.
- Documentation and Reporting :
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Provide regular status reports to senior management and clients.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Qualifications :
- Education :
- Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience :
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing mid-sized construction projects.
- Skills :
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Certifications :
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
- OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) certification is a plus.
Working Conditions :
- This position may require working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet project deadlines.
