The Senior Pricing Analyst will be responsible for providing high-level financial and strategic support to the firm's Rate Approval Chairs, legal departments, and practice groups.

The Senior Pricing Analyst will be responsible for analyzing factors that drive the economic performance of matters, including the development of pricing models for multiple practice areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Perform analysis in support of pricing decisions and support the firm's efforts to drive effective project management.
  • Assess data from a variety of sources to gain insights into pricing strategies and market trends.
  • Analyze competitor pricing and market trends to increase market share and profitability.
  • Track client engagement to develop effective pricing strategies for products and offerings.
  • Apply statistical modeling methods to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability.
  • Recommend pricing strategies that align closely with market trends and identifying new market segments.
  • Forecast revenue and market share based on market trends, production costs, profit margins, and sales volumes.
  • Collaborate with business development and marketing departments on developing and implementing competitive pricing strategies.
  • Develop dynamic pricing tools to effectively respond to changing market needs and trends.
  • Prepare and present pricing analysis findings to leadership and other relevant teams across the firm.
  • Keeping informed on pricing analysis methods and industry trends.
  • Supports various strategic and financial projects while accomplishing core responsibilities and other critical functions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Proven ability to identify and analyze issues and problems and to work towards solutions
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and sound professional acumen and persistence
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of legal, management, and support staff in a highly effective and professional manner
  • Ability to effectively persuade for compliance with programs or necessary information sharing
  • Advanced knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts and ability to apply this knowledge to large volumes of data to reach meaningful conclusions
  • Strong technical orientation, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with an aptitude and willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies as appropriate
  • Strong organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude
  • Possess strong knowledge of market research resources and financial reporting
  • Strong working knowledge of various information technology systems is required
  • Knowledge of BI concepts is required; knowledge of Tableau preferred

Education and / or Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a closely related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four (4) years of in-depth knowledge of pricing and budgeting at AmLaw 200 law firm required.
  • Demonstrated experience performing detailed analyses independently.
  • Proven experience of excellent financial modeling skills, analytical and ability to comprehend and clearly communicate data.
