Production Set Designer

Job Overview :

We are looking for a highly creative and detail-oriented On-Set Art Director to join our team. This role involves overseeing all visual elements of a production to ensure they align with the creative vision and brand guidelines.

The On-Set Art Director will collaborate closely with the production team, photographers, videographers, stylists, and models to bring concepts to life in a cohesive and visually engaging way.

Key Responsibilities :

• Pre-Production Planning :
• Collaborate with the creative director and production team to develop the visual concept and art direction for shoots.
• Create mood boards, style guides, and shot lists to communicate the visual direction to the team.
• Source and organize props, set pieces, and backgrounds needed for each shoot.
• Ensure all pre-production materials align with the brand's vision and goals.
• On-Set Art Direction :
• Lead the creative direction on set, guiding photographers, videographers, and the styling team to achieve the desired look and feel.
• Oversee the set design, ensuring that all elements are arranged properly to create a visually appealing and cohesive scene.
• Make real-time adjustments to lighting, composition, and styling to meet creative standards.
• Provide clear feedback and direction to talent (models, actors, etc.) to enhance their performance and alignment with the creative vision.
• Collaboration and Communication :
• Act as the primary point of contact between the creative and production teams, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
• Work closely with hair and makeup artists to ensure styling aligns with the overall look and feel of the shoot.
• Coordinate with the props and wardrobe teams to ensure all visual elements are on-brand and cohesive.
• Post-Production Review :
• Review and provide feedback on visuals from the shoot to ensure they meet brand standards and project goals.
• Collaborate with the editing team to refine and enhance the final output for maximum impact.
• Ensure that final assets are delivered in line with the initial creative vision and brief.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience as an Art Director, preferably in on-set or production environments.
• Strong understanding of design principles, set design, lighting, and composition.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to provide clear direction and constructive feedback.
• Ability to think creatively and solve problems in real-time while on set.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of on-set art direction and creative vision.

Skills :

• Expertise in set design and visual styling.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of current trends in visual arts, fashion, and design.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience working with lifestyle, fashion, or beauty brands.
• Experience collaborating with diverse creative teams, including photographers, stylists, and videographers.
• Familiarity with both digital and print production processes.
