Sr Fluids / Mechanical Design Engineer - Tubing

Contract Position
$79.53 - $96.23 / Hour
Responsibilities :
- Design of various pressure vessel types, and shapes to accommodate vehicle space allocation and integration envelope.
- Design of fluid lines and flex elements for cryogenic and space application.
- Drawing generation, including tolerance and GD&T setup.
- Ownership of design release cycle, including drawings release, and DFM reviews.
- Analysis of primary and secondary spacecraft pressure vessels
- Integration of structural analysis with loads and dynamics environments
- Finite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests
- Strength checks and analysis report generation
- Test and verification plan and report generation
- Support configuration development and trade studies
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in the prediction / validation of low and / or high-frequency structural dynamics and loads, in addition to finite element modeling
- Solid foundation of structural static / dynamic fundamentals
- Passion for spacecraft structural / environmental loads development / validation
- Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools)
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a . citizen or national, . permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the . as a refugee or granted asylum
- Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles, or automotive in some of the following areas : External loadsVibro-acoustic analysisThermal Loading
