We are looking for an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor for one of the top providers that sources of spices and herbs from Asia located in Anaheim, CA.

The EH&S Supervisor leads and manages Safety and Environmental Compliance Programs. Provides orientation and safety training to employees, contractors, and visitors.

Provides Safety support to all areas in the company. Coordinates internal safety programs to enhance Safety Culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate the required orientation and safety training for all co-workers, contractors, and visitors.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes related to occupational safety.

Maintain liaisons with outside organizations, such as fire departments and rescue teams.

  • Provide guidance and support to all departments during safety incident investigations. Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents.
  • Perform and document weekly safety and environmental inspections. Report findings, propose corrective and preventive actions and follow up on them for completion.
  • Partner with HR to manage Workers Comp activity for the location.
  • Lead the PJHA (Pre Job Hazard-Analysis) and HPE (High Potential Exposure) mitigation programs.
  • Write and revise safety procedures in compliance with regulations and codes. Develop, approve, and manage safety permits such as hot work, elevated work, confined space, etc.
  • Create the safety and environmental compliance calendar. Follow the calendar to avoid any NOV.
  • Recommend the required PPE and manage PPE supplies. Coordinate the Safety shoes program.
  • Lead the recycling and sustainability program.
  • Provide coverage for other Departmental Supervisors.

Organizational Relationships

This position reports to the Director of Operations. This position does not have direct reports,

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to the General Manufacturing Industry.
  • Experience working around Manufacturing Equipment and familiar with Industrial Engineering Principles.
  • Knowledge of specific State Workers’ Compensation Laws and Regulations.
  • High proficiency utilizing Microsoft Programs, Word, Teams, Excel, Power Point, and others.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish / English requirement
  • Experience in production processes and maintenance programs is a plus.
  • College degree in sciences or other manufacturing fields required, must have a minimum of 3 years working experience in a manufacturing facility and a minimum experience of 2 years on Occupational Safety field.

Monday-Friday - 5 : 00am-1 : 30pm

Compensation : $32.00 - $38.00 + per hour.
