Clinic Operations Supervisor-Orthopedics Clinic -DC
The Clinic Operations Supervisor reports to the Practice Manager of the clinic(s). The Clinic Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role by providing direct supervision of the front-line practice staff.
Will coordinate overall operations of the practice to ensure efficient clinic functions, including scheduling patient appointments, optimizing workflows, and managing issues related to the clinics while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Will foster a patient-centered environment, address patient concerns promptly, while collaborating effectively with physicians and staff.
The supervisor would support the Practice Manager in goals implementation, effective leadership, communication, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent & relevant work experience (Required)
Minimum Work Experience
2 years of progressive experience in a healthcare setting (Required)
2 years of supervisory / team lead experience required (Required)

Clinic Operations Management
- Provide direct oversight of day-to-day operations of the practice.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and develop action plans with the manager to resolve.
- Assist the manager in developing performance standards to achieve department goals, developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Ensure accuracy of work / registration processes by staff; implement training and testing of staff; optimize time-of-service collections.
Ensure cash collections processes are performed completely and accurately.
- Assist the manager in evaluating current business as well as new program initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
Budget & Financial Management
- Ensure vendor invoices are entered in Bear Resource to be processed.
- Monitor supplies and orders as necessary.
- Review monthly practice performance report with manager to ensure expenses are within budgeted projections.
Quality Control and Performance Improvement
- Implement monthly customer satisfaction surveys.
- Work with manager, physician leader, and QI Specialist to make improvements as indicated by survey results.
- Ensure quality of registration process by reviewing registration denials and providing feedback to staff.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives as identified by management team.
- Ensure that performance boards are implemented.
Human Resources Management
- Participate in selection / hiring process of new staff.
- Establish work schedules for staff.
- Train and mentor administrative team and provide ongoing performance feedback.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage staff performance goals.
- Perform disciplinary actions as needed.
Administrative Tasks
- Perform administrative tasks such as payroll and time records.
- Complete requisitions and OCR entry into Bear Resource Finance.
- Other tasks as assigned.
