Job Summary
Support Senior Equity Analyst in analyzing biotech companies and market trends by creating / maintaining financial models, writing investment-related and thematic research reports, interviewing physician / industry experts, conducting literature reviews, and critically evaluating clinical / scientific data.
Assist in identifying and formulating new investment ideas to support the generation of new business activity. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, client-service oriented, has a passion for investing, and can thrive in a team-driven, fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops expertise on the biotech industry and individual biotech companies in order to assess the impact of clinical data readouts, and other impactful news.
- Assembles and analyzes clinical, scientific and other data to help inform investment ideas / views on market outlook.
- Prepares internal and external written reports and presentations to communicate research findings, news events, and investment ideas.
- Develops financial models for revenue and income forecasts, cash flow analysis, balance sheet, and quarterly projections.
- Works with Senior Research Analysts in defining and documenting objectives and approaches for specific research projects and studies
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
