Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Dayton, Ohio.

For 48-hour contract, OT is paid out after 48 hours
Their application MUST show some 1 : 5 ratio experience in the Work History section for SD or PCU, otherwise, the managers will not review it.
Be sure this is added to the application prior to submitting in order to avoid delay. Also note, ICU exp does not count towards SD / PCU exp at this facility, therefore, you MUST have SD / PCU experience to be considered.
Targeted patient ratios are 1 : 4-6
Unit participates / may participate in team nursing model where RNs, LPNs, and PCTs partner together to care for a group of patients.
The goal of this model is to divide the work and not the patients, ultimately improving both the workload and patient care.
Nurses may function in either team nursing or primary nursing depending on the needs of the unit.

Must have the following requirements :
- tPass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment
- tBLS, ACLS, and NIH. IV Start preferred
- tNurses will be fitted for N95 before working on the HRRU unit unless PAPR is offered / needed.
1.5 years exp and some level 1 or 2 preferred
tTravel experience preferred
EPIC exp required
Floating and Other Requirements :
- tTraveler will be first to float at Premier's discretion. Agency will float in / out of specialty clusters. It will be assigned a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the unit floated to, including high-risk respiratory unit / COVID.
- tIf assigned to MVH, this could include floating the main campus (Dayton), south campus (Centerville) less than 10 miles from Main Campus, and North Campus (Englewood) less than 15 miles from Main Campus.
- tTraveler must be available to work every other weekend / holiday.
- tPremier Health reserves the right to cancel 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract.
- tPremier Health reserves the right to cancel the agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine.
- tTravelers are not eligible for Premier health employee incentives.
Unit Details :
- t36 Bed Neuroscience / High-Risk Respiratory
- tAn intermediate care neuroscience unit.
- tCurrently we are a mixed acuity (med surge / intermediate care) High-Risk Respiratory Unit.
- tNeuroscience Intermediate Care Unit provides professional skilled care to a diverse patient population, including cerebrovascular accident (CVA), transient ischemic attack (TIA), seizures, and neuro.
- tSE 10 is currently a high-risk respiratory unit and will return to a neuro intermediate care unit when the MVH COVID number of patients decreases.
- tSE 10 nurses are responsible for staffing the 36 HRRU / Covid beds and floating to the Neuro ICU.
- tSE 10 staff are assigned appropriate patients within the Neuro ICU and are assigned a buddy.
- tUse heated high flow, bipaps
- tNavy Blue Scrubs
Request RTO with initial submittal; NO RTO will be added after the offer. RTO approval will be at the Manager's discretion.
Submittal email must include application and current Nursys report, and other certs are not needed if listed on the application.
