Summary :
In this role, you will lead the implementation of new provider laboratory contract pricing, which includes providers’ seamless transition to the Vizient portfolio of contracts within the guidelines of providers’ master services agreement with Vizient.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, providers, suppliers and laboratory distributors to establish implementation goals and business objectives, improve best practices, and most importantly, ensure accurate pricing eligibility.
Responsibilities :
Facilitate all process steps and milestones of a new provider’s implementation, including but not limited to, review and data mining of provider spend information, processing and submission of required Supplier and Distributor forms, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of contract pricing connections from the previous Group Purchasing Organization to Vizient (matched and provider-approved substitutions).
Develop appropriate implementation timeline and overall laboratory implementation strategy based on meeting both the new provider’s needs and Vizient's requirements.
Lead price mitigation discussions and negotiations, when necessary, with Laboratory Suppliers.
Provide support to guarantee a smooth implementation in the appropriate timeframe, including but not limited to, weekly calls with the provider and distributor, as well as supplier calls as needed.
Collaborate with appropriate provider and field-based resources throughout the implementation process.
Document overall provider spend transitioned to Vizient contracts through project plans, savings trackers, and other applicable metrics as requested by Vizient Leadership and the Provider.
Qualifications :
Relevant degree preferred. Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT or MT) is a plus.
7 or more years of relevant experience required. Laboratory health system / distributor / supplier preferred.
Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracting and healthcare supply chain knowledge is preferred.
Ability to understand and perform analytics, create summarized reports for providers and executives.
Ability to prioritize / manage time-sensitive projects and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
