GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Using professional Development experience and expertise, support the success and growth of NCMEC’s private funding, growth across giving verticals, continued expansion, and strategic goals and achievements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Impact

  • Lead organizational efforts to track impact metrics (KPI’s) so that Development can share NCMEC’s story to funders and the field.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure success of partnerships to ensure that Development is measuring impact.
  • Work closely with VP and ED’s on funding projects to ensure partnerships are leveraged to their fullest potential.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and news to identify new partnership opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate economic trends and developments within the organization and their annual results; recommend and discuss strategies and options to strengthen measurement and evaluation activities.

Project Management

  • Manage workflow processes and donor pipeline via Salesforce and / or donor management database lead.
  • Ability to project manage and adapt in an evolving environment, enthusiastic about contributing to a workplace environment that values and understanding of issues impacting NCMEC's mission.
  • Manage Dev workflow processes and pipeline via Salesforce, including ensuring all budgets and paperwork are up to date and liaising with our finance and project teams to ensure we're communicating and thanking funders promptly.
  • Create and execute a strategy to market, promote, and grow volunteer, intern program, and hope bag workflows and opportunities.
  • Working closely with EDFL, help to oversee successful execution of growth of Code Adam program.
  • Collaborate with the VP to manage sales strategies and tactics across all fundraising verticals and sponsor-driven events and programs.
  • Successfully provide solutions to VP, Development by helping to identify and prioritize gaps in processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of key projects and initiatives, to facilitate continuous improvement and support the delivery of innovative, cost effective, and mutually beneficial partnership outcomes.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities in order to identify potential opportunities for new partnerships.
  • Help to track staff progress towards fundraising and SMART goals.

Donor Management

  • Responsible for liaising with Finance on ReqLogic and Apsona needs.
  • Manage a wide array of initiatives designed to grow and engage the donor base.
  • Collaborate, as requested, with internal stakeholders to cultivate and support staff.
  • Manage and maintain, with support from staff, the NCMEC volunteer database.
  • Assist, as needed, with servicing deliverables for corporate donors, partners, and sponsors in order to ensure that they are satisfied with the results of their collaboration.
  • Research, as requested, potential partners that align with NCMEC’s vision and values.
  • Manage a wide array of initiatives designed to grow and engage the donor base
  • Create, track, and share sponsor agreements with relevant parties to ensure complete delivery of sponsor benefits and a worthwhile experience for sponsors.
  • Develop and implement cultivation strategies and manage the movement of donors and partners through the different stages of the fundraising pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Development to identify challenges with using Salesforce and / or donor management system and facilitate learning opportunities for Development staff to overcome these challenges to create more regular engagement with the platform.

Support for Success

  • Provide support on the development of proposals, emails, letters, presentations, and invitations to support Development department efforts.
  • Work closely with the VP to develop holistic development plans both for the organization as a whole and for external top-level fundraisers (i.

e., key Board Members).

  • Help expand networking, and development opportunities, including by conducting prospect funder research.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to cultivate and support development initiatives.
  • Conduct donor research and develop strategies for donor engagement.
  • Support and / or lead seeding new philanthropic strategies, potentially including individual and corporate giving.
  • Support the management of the partner and HNW portfolio and pipeline (e.g., conference proposals and speaking engagements) in alignment with Developments strategic plan to broaden our impact with prospects, partners and external stakeholders’ audiences.
  • Work closely with colleagues within the corporate, individual, digital giving, foundations, and event sponsorship verticals to expand revenue generating opportunities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with increasing responsibilities in nonprofit fundraising.
  • Bachelor’s degree and / or 10 years of experience fundraising and managerial experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

  • Must be comfortable with details and competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles, best practices and current trends of fundraising cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategy and tactics.
  • Working knowledge of financial development related to individual donors, associations / affinity groups, and corporations.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively in developing new approaches / strategies.
  • Strong management, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must have experience using donor CRM platforms (i.e., Salesforce,) and MS office products.
  • Experience managing donor giving platforms such as Classy, SalesForce and NCMEC’s other technology platforms.
  • Ability to handle and maintain the integrity and confidentiality of highly sensitive material.
  • Promote and exhibit loyalty to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the cause of protecting children worldwide.
  • Promote a professional image.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, Law Enforcement officials, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
  • Respond promptly when returning telephone calls and replying to correspondence.
  • Ability to work independently in a changing environment, meet deadlines, and empower others.
  • Advanced experience soliciting gifts, creating cultivation plans, stewarding donors and otherwise growing the donor and partner base.
  • Demonstrated public speaking and writing skills.
