What does the job involve?
Summary- Transports material to and from manufacturing departments at point of use locations. Receives, stores, and issues materials.
Transports tools, equipment, and products within the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to :
Unloads materials from department manufacturing areas and places in specified plant locations.
- Delivers materials to point of use locations per manufacturing flow instructions.
- Support deployment and sustainment of Kanban systems.
- Issues parts to work orders according to pick lists.
- Receives and stores parts from work orders and purchase orders to stock.
- Retrieves and transports materials for loading and unloading to trucks and / or departments as required.
- Moves parts which include performing weight counts; updating material identification tags.
- Assists in maintaining inventory control (e.g. performing cycle counts and physical inventory)
- Drives and maintains preventative maintenance on fork lifts, vehicles, and industrial tuggers.
- Follow all Senior policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
