Position Summary

This position will provide human resources (HR) information and support to a work unit regarding more than one HR functional area to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing.

This position provides Employee Relations services to the UW-La Crosse campus.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree required. Relevant professional experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
  • At least 1 one year of experience interpreting and applying laws, rules, policies, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal Studies, Social Services, etc.
  • A minimum of 1 year of Human Resources experience.
  • Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

The UW-La Crosse campus is in southwestern Wisconsin, nestled in a residential area of the City of La Crosse and positioned as part of a larger metro area with a population close to 140,000.

The area, known as the 7 Rivers Region, is famous for its exceptional natural beauty which includes the Mississippi River on one side, majestic bluffs on the other, and views of rolling farmland and forested valleys in between.
