POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistics Coordinator will assist in inventory accuracy of materials and finished goods on hand as well as arrange and prepare BOLs, scheduling trucks, and customs paperwork.
This position will assist with daily shipping activities for domestic and cross-border shipments.
Work hours : Monday - Thursday 6 : 30a-5 : 00pm
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits of both inbound and outbound shipments. Communicate discrepancies with accountants and applicable departments, as needed.
- Participate and assist in the coordination of year end physical inventory counts. Including accuracy of labeling for visual management.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment; address any unsafe conditions or behaviors with a supervisor.
- Prepare paperwork and interface with OEM, EDI, and ASN customers; BOLs, booking shipments, and ASN regulations.
- Assist with daily shipping activities for domestic and international shipments.
- Understand the daily duties of the shipping department and perform the duties as needed.
- Operate required equipment per safety guidelines, upon proper certification.
- Perform other related and non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- High school diploma is required.
- 1-2 year of experience in a warehouse related role is required.
- MS Office, MRP experience preferred.
- Use of Sage 300 ERP system an asset
Required Licenses
Forklift certification is required, company supplied on hire.

Travel
Occasional travel to local sites may be required. (Oakville main plant).

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is an Individual Contributor : working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is subject to heavy work; Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Acuity
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures;
- transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and / or operation of machines (including inspection);
using measurement devices; and / or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Working Conditions
- The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production and warehouse-based environment.
