Are you an experienced Payroll Accountant looking for a new challenge in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Permanent Payroll Accountant.

This position is integral to our Finance Department and plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes.

Our ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities :

As a Permanent Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide array of tasks. These include but are not limited to :

1. Processing and managing company payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

2. Compiling and recording employee time and payroll data.

3. Preparing and issuing paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.

4. Interpreting and implementing payroll policies and procedures.

5. Preparing government reporting.

6. Reconciling payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.

7. Administering and managing employee benefits and payroll taxes.

8. Collaborating with Human Resources and Finance Departments to align and reconcile payroll data.

9. Assisting with internal and external audits related to payroll.

10. Identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records.

11. Honoring confidentiality of employees’ pay records.

12. Completing payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review.

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications :

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll accounting or a related field.

2. Proficiency in payroll software, as well as data entry and data processing.

3. Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.

4. Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field.

5. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and good knowledge of relevant software and databases.

6. Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality.

7. Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail.

8. Excellent communication skills to handle queries and complaints from employees regarding payroll.

9. A degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.

10. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
