Evaluate, intervene, consult, and deliver services as required by the school districts, community agencies, and HCDE.
Qualifications :
Education / Certification :
- Degree from an accredited university
- Current license issued by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
Special Knowledge / Skills :
- Effective / efficient oral and written communication skills
- Reliable transportation to / from work and between work-sites
- Efficient mobility within the work-site
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
- General knowledge of computer systems and software applications
- Ability to serve as supervisor for physical therapist assistant and serve as professional student supervisor
Experience :
- Experience in pediatrics and / or the school setting desirable
- One year of experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties :
- Use evidence in practice, evaluation, data collection, documentation and recommendations.
- Evaluate to determine educational need for services.
- Provide intervention to support student participation and performance in accordance with state laws and / or professional standards.
- Document and maintain service-related records.
- Participate in professional growth activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
