DIS Strategic Communications & Change Management Project Manager

Dynamic Integrated Services (DIS) is a proud Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business based in the Washington, D.C.

Metropolitan area providing management consulting services to Federal agencies and organizations supporting the public sector.

DIS offers client services in the areas of Strategic Communications and Integrated Marketing, Information Technology (IT), and Enterprise Optimization.

DIS is looking for a Strategic Communications and Change Management Project Manager (Privacy) capable of leading Federal Government contracts in the health, benefits and / or information technology space.

The successful candidate will also provide advice and consultation to senior-level officials regarding communications and change programs and initiatives focused on benefits, and / or modernization initiatives .

As part of a larger activities , the candidate will help DIS' clients improve their executive-level strategic communications and change management efforts on agency decision making, policy, legislation, and by providing a proven track record of technical expertise.

Responsibilities

Working collaboratively with a project director and staff, the Project Manager will provide strategic project leadership and serve as a deputy project manager and workstream lead .

Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for :

Essential Duties

  • Interface with senior executive level clients to coordinate and manage expectations for deliverables, statement of work, and scope of analysis
  • Manage nationwide internal and external communications campaigns
  • Manage project teams of communication and change management analysts, graphic designers, and writers
  • Lead development of materials such as communication plans, fact sheets, FAQ sheets, website content, talking points, newsletters, and email messages to support campaigns
  • Coordinate, track, monitor, and evaluate communications , marketing and change management activities
  • Coordinate and lead meetings with clients
  • Generate creative and original ideas for reaching and engaging target audiences and communicating key messages
  • Respond to, review or support communication and change management requests and collateral related to VA benefits issues through appropriate channels and processes, such as :
  • Congressional correspondence
  • Media inquiries
  • Review contributions regarding the development and execution of VA's Automated Benefits Delivery Program to inform staff on policy awareness within the Department;

responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Logistical and event support
  • Speaker coordination ( leveraging professional network of Federal or industry SMEs to present)
  • Content development and script writing to ensure activity maintains and promotes an understanding of ABD and its importance to VA / VBA 's mission
  • Prepare and / or review standard operating procedures, guidance, and handbooks for the team and other teams that use, share, or have responsibility for sensitive information
  • Maintain project documentation and financials
  • Business development

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in strategic communications, marketing, public relations, or change management
  • 7 - 10 years of professional experience
  • Experience planning, developing, managing, and implementing communications and marketing and change communications activities, including developing communications plans, strategies, messages, and tactics as part of an outreach or education campaign
  • Experience managing teams of people, as well as contracts and projects
  • Knowledge of business development and proposal writing
  • Exceptional knowledge of core communications / marketing best practices
  • Creative and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent writing and conceptual skills
  • Strong oral communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Must be able to deliver on multiple projects / priorities at the same time
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to client service
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the US for any employer as sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Ability to obtain a US government security clearance

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

  • Master's degree or advanced certification in business administration, strategic communication, or related field
  • Experienced working with Federal agency or public sector management consulting
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Prosci Change Management certification
  • Preference will be given to qualified Veteran candidates

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
