$100,000 - $140,000 + Bonus + Paid Relocation
The Director of Risk Management is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of various patient safety and risk management activities.
Such responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Performance and oversight of the claim management functions including investigation and analysis.
- Performance of risk assessments including new services.
- Performance of root cause analysis for the system including action plan tracking and facilitation.
- Management of the Patient Safety Council with incorporation of the corporate TERM program into the overall risk management program.
- Collaborating with department directors and the executive team to implement Corporate and Facility risk reduction strategies.
- Providing expertise to regulatory and compliance standards and processes.
- Data analysis, reporting, educating, providing leadership, and being accountable for related activities.
SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in a related field required.
- Two (2) to Five (5) years of Risk Management experience.
- Current RN license in the state of Nevada if Registered Nurse.

- Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with The Joint Commission.
- Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
- Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
- Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
- Thorough knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
- Application of techniques such as RCA, FMEA, and other quality tools.
- Must possess a detailed, in-depth knowledge of the principles of regulations and standards to meet hospital, licensing, and accreditation.
- Knowledgeable regarding Joint Commission Standards and CMS / DHS Regulations.
