As a Production Team Lead, you will oversee the daily operations on the production floor, guiding a team of machine operators to ensure high-quality, efficient, and safe production.
In this role, you will assist with training, coordinate with team members to meet production goals, and act as a liaison between operators and management.
This role requires hands-on machine operation as well as leadership to support smooth workflows in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities :
- Support a supervisor with a team of machine operators / line personal to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
- Operate and maintain production machinery, ensuring equipment is fully operational.
- Troubleshoot and escalate machinery issues, collaborating with maintenance teams as needed.
- Coordinate team activities, distribute tasks, and monitor workflow to meet production targets.
- Inspect ingredients and finished products to ensure quality and safety standards.
- Assist with training new team members on equipment operation and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, equipment maintenance, and other relevant data.
- Act as the main point of contact for team members on the floor, providing direction and support as needed.
- Support overall production goals set by supervisors and management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar production role.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Ability to lift, stack, pour, and carry up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in cold (10º - 40º) environments.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as operating various types of machinery.
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, agile, and detail-oriented with a focus on operational excellence.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
