JOB DESCRIPTION
Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) or a Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst (LaBA).
The mid-level LaBA / BCaBA will assist our clinical supervisor with case management and direct supervision of RBTs. The mid-level would perform supervision and training of direct care staff (RBT / CBT), assist with clinical assessments under the direct supervision of a BCBA / Clinical Supervisor, and assist withoverseeing client’s treatment progress.
There is opportunity for growth to BCBA / LBA position if interested in pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis! The mid-level will be assignedto no more than 10-12 cases (depending on the hours each case has) for a manageable caseload.
You must be currently licensed or meet the requirements for LABA licensing in the state of Virginia to qualify for this position.
Must meet VA state Department Of Health LABA licensing requirements before applying.
Responsibilities :
- Demonstrates support of all outcomes for service recipients supported. (Identity, Autonomy, Affiliation, Attainment, Safeguards, Rights, and Health and
- In accordance with Individual Care Plans, Behavior Evaluations, and Treatment Plans provide training or assistance to insure personal growth toward behavior goals.
- Listen to and respond to the needs of service recipients, parents / guardians, area program staff, and agency management.
- Assist service recipients :
- With issues such as interpersonal relationships, social interaction, behavioral conduct, and communication skills.
- To develop and / or maintain a social support network
- To maintain their health and well being
- With ensuring a safe and sanitary home, grooming, and hygiene
- In the development of adaptive and effective coping skills
- With access to community resources,
- To realize their educational and vocational goals and help attain personal outcomes.
- Document all activities in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Transport service recipients as needed and clinically indicated.
- Complete all mandated supervision and training and maintain as required.
- Communicate in a professional manner with service recipients, employers, parents / guardians, area program staff, and agency staff.
- Advocate for service recipients in all situations.
- Abide by all agency policies and procedures.
- Be a team player
Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor’s degreein Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), OR enrolled in a Master’s program in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) field.
- Minimum one year of experience working in ABA therapy.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and have no history of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children or vulnerable adults.
At least one year of documented experience with children, preferably with behavioral, emotional, or learning issues.
- All LaBA’s and BCaBA’s will need to be re-credentialed annually.
- Reliable transportation (including valid driver’s license, insurance, vehicle registration, and acceptable driving record within company insurance guidelines) to conduct direct supervision of in-home services.
- Must complete criminal background and other pre-hire requirements.
