Job Summary
This role involves performing tasks related to physical labor, including measuring, remarking, and laying out parking lot bays, characters, numbers, and stencils using a mechanical striping machine.
The Team Lead will also be responsible for inspecting and maintaining all striping equipment and supplies, including vehicle tires, lights, brakes, gas, and oil, and performing minor repairs on the striping equipment as needed.
All other secondary services such stated above are to be performed as well.
Responsibilities :
- Setting up, laying out, stenciling, and measuring parking lots according to work orders
- Controlling traffic passing in and around work zones
- Reviewing and understanding all equipment operation manuals
- Loading and unloading 5-gallon buckets of paint from trailers
- Applying paint using mechanical striping machines
- Applying paint to pavement following the manufacturer's specifications
- Assisting in job site cleanup
- Leading bi-weekly safety meetings and crew mini-huddles
- Participating in personal and field safety protection activities
- Navigating to and from work sites
- Assisting in other fieldwork activities and maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse.
- Assisting with application of Sealcoating and asphalt repairs
- Making sure team always has materials needed to perform jobs
Requirements :
- Positive attitude
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of related experience and / or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A solid understanding of Appell Striping Inc.'s business and proven abilities in striping and other related services preparation and installation.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as measurements, weights, area, circumference, and volume.
- Experience is great but not needed
