Senior Accountant
About the Senior Accountant Role : The Senior Accountant will play a major role in month end close and work very closely with senior leadership.
This role is growth focused, and gives the senior accountant the opportunity to work with the VP and CFO. The role is newly designed as well, all due to the growth and success of the business.
It is the perfect opportunity to develop your accounting skillset. Our client is in the construction space and looking for a team player who is collaborative.
Our client cares deeply about their culture also, and we are looking for someone who enjoys a family environment. Base salary $75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience.
The role is in office each day, and offers competitive benefits.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant :
- Reconcile key balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Prepare monthly financials including balance sheets, income statements, and various profit and loss statements
- Prepare and post journal entries, both standard and non-standard
- Research and resolve general ledger discrepancies and issues
- Participate in the month-end close
- Own fixed assets and leases
- Assists VP of Finance with assembling schedules associated with monthly close, such as work in process.
- Opportunities to assist with accounting and finance projects as well
Education and requirements of the Senior Accountant :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures
- CPA a plus
- Public accounting experience a plus
