JOB TITLE :
Makerspace Coordinator
JOB PURPOSE :
Manage and coordinate the daily operations and activities of the EERB Student Innovation Center (Wyrkshop) and assist with the Mobile Makerspaces as needed.
This work includes but is not limited to staffing and supervision of student employees, providing administrative and logistical support, developing, and delivering K-12 and college level education outreach, fostering partnerships within the community, managing, and supporting the equipment (3D printers, Laser Cutters, 3D Scanners, Robots, plotters, computers, displays, sewing machines and misc.

The position will provide expert level support on both the hardware and software platforms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the Wyrkshop. Manage and maintain resources for the makerspace, including equipment, software, and materials.
Organize and maintain inventory of both consumable and non-consumable supplies.
- Assist with the management, staffing, and events for the Mobile Makerspaces as needed.
- Assist students, faculty, staff, and guests with the use of the technology equipment found in the Wyrkshop. Ensure the space is adequately staffed and adequate supplies are kept on had to accommodate the needs of the patrons.
- Provide expert level support to the equipment used in the Wyrkshop. This support includes routine maintenance as well as troubleshooting complex problems.
- Provide expert level support in the use of software application used to support the efforts of the innovation center.
- Hire, train, supervise, and schedule student staff to assist in the facilitation of educational programs. Assign and monitor employee work, priorities, and special projects.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of work.
- Advise visitors and provide basic training to maximize their ability to utilize Wyrkshop tools, features, and resources.
- Teach and lead regular makerspace related educational programs to K-12 field trip groups, UW student organizations, UW classes, and visitor workshop participants.
Design and develop outreach materials for use by students and educators. Plan and coordinate educational outreach events each semester.
- Enforce policies and procedures regarding safety, training, use of equipment, and access to the space. Ensure that SIC procedures and being followed.
- Collaborate with staff and others on events and activities.
- Serve on College and University committees as appropriate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : Bachelor’s degree
Experience : 1 year of work-related experience
Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements : Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the .
