The Opportunity :
As the Electrical Construction Manager you will oversee the operations and maintenance of our four building, 450,000 square foot office campus in Plano, Texas.
Reporting to the SVP of Global Real Estate, you will ensure the daily operation of Fisher Investment facilities by leveraging your extensive knowledge of electrical rooms, switches and server rooms.
The Day-to-Day :
- Directs activities of Facilities Management & Construction : Budget preparation & control; Record keeping and personnel management
- Manage all construction activities from start to finish- including identification of required specifications, construction bids, contractor performance and work acceptance, and contractor payment approvals
- Hires and Supervises staff and annual performance evaluations
- Travel to multiple campuses to review work and assist as needed on special projects
- Assure quality service from the Facilities Engineering team
- Directs activities to include preventative maintenance of buildings, equipment, parking lots and grounds in a state of proper repair
- Monitor / assist contractors and outside vendors' performance to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
Solicits construction bids and quotes from contractors, vendors and professionals
- Assist in budget development regarding Cap Ex for site maintenance and repairs
- Assist with maintaining building safety and security policies & procedures. Immediately respond to building emergencies as needed
- Oversees routine quality control inspections of janitorial and landscaping subcontractors to ensure property is being maintained
- Ensure documentation for emergency equipment (monthly / annually and / or as needed) is being maintained and accurate
- Coordinate and monitor fire / life safety annual inspections, including all other system, building, and compliance inspections.
Have working knowledge of alarm systems for drills and maintenance purposes
Ensure that Disaster Recovery and Business Continuation Programs meet company requirements and mitigate risk
Your Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree or equivialent in Electrical Engineering (or similar field)
- 10+ years of Facilities / Construction experience
- 5 +years of Supervisory experience of Electrical systems and Computer environments
- Be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with attention to detail
