As a Medical Physicist Assistant, you will, under the supervision of Chief Medical Physicist, provide services to the Medical Physics Section in accordance with the highest standards of practice and as required by regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with medical physics testing related to acceptance, routine QA, ACR accreditation, TJC and clinical implementation of new linear accelerators and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records for patients and imaging equipment.
- Perform imaging equipment performance evaluation testing for Linac machines.
- Assist with radiation safety and MRI safety tasks.
- Help designing radiation shielding for new imaging installations.
- Participate in imaging physics research and ongoing educational activities for imaging technologists, radiology and medical physics.
- Assist with patient radiation dose evaluation during imaging procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Administration or Chief Medical Physicist.

- Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrates accuracy and an attention to detail.
- Ability to closely follow established procedures.

Minimum education : Master's Degree in Physics
Minimum experience : 1+ years in Medical Physics

Preferred education : PhD in Physics
