Powergen Controls is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician. Powergen Controls technicians are responsible for ensuring the end-to-end safety, quality, and performance of power generating equipment.
This includes performing installations, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance. The ideal candidate thinks critically, can work well independently, and is a problem solver.
This position requires regular travel both within the United States and abroad
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement electrical and mechanical technical practices.
- Read electrical drawings and schematics
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Troubleshoot, maintenance, and repair electrical equipment and controls.
- Stay current on all safety and technical training; adhere to company, industry, and client safety protocols and standards.
- Perform updates to client electrical drawings, including one-lines, diagrams, and schematics.
- Design, control, and implement electrical systems and products.
- Provide technical insight on the function and best practices of electrical power systems.
- Select products and installation methods to deliver value-driven solutions.
- Wire and cable industrial control panels, switchgears, and MCCs.
- Perform field commissioning and startup activities.
- Knowledge of PLCs and HMIs..
- Complete all site documentation in a timely manner; including but not limited to, weekly time sheets, signed service and repair order, materials used and report writing.
- Communicate technical information and troubleshooting solutions clearly with customer project managers and end customers.

Qualifications :
- Technical School or a degree in Electrical Engineering or relative work experience
- Experience in an MSc is advantageous
- Must be eligible to work in the USA; able to travel internationally a bonus
- Must pass a background check and have a valid driver's license.
