Job Description :
ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a passionate and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position in Lake Tapps, WA, for the 2024 / 2025 school year.
This role involves providing direct support to Speech-Language Pathologists and working closely with elementary and middle school students to improve their communication skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy programs for students in elementary and middle school.
- Work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide 1 : 1 or small group support to students with speech and language needs.
- Document student progress and communicate effectively with the SLP and educational staff.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school environment.
Qualifications :
- Active Washington State SLPA Certification is required.
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals.
