The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Credit Products, Interest Rate and Currency Products, and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess, and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure, as well as execute, innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global
Credit Corporates (NY) : Associate
Responsibilities include :
- Works closely with traders and sales to initiate trading ideas, including relative value strategy, portfolio optimization and swap trades
- Support the business activities, respond to client data inquiries and desk requests
- Contribute and maintain desk central database with high standard in accuracy and robustness
- Collaborates directly with the strats, finance and IT teams to advance the platform and the businesses it serves
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as trades reporting, capital ratio
Qualifications
Skills required :
- MS or PhD in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or other quantitative / computational fields.
- Programming skills in KDB / Q and Python. Familiarity with Linux and Git is a plus.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and a positive, collaborative, and proactive attitude.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
- Experience with credit instruments, market dynamics, credit risk management and pnl attribution is a strong plus.
- Highly motivated and able to pick up new knowledge quickly.
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $200,000 per year for an Associate at the commencement of employment.
However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs..
