HOM Furniture is searching for a Sales Consultant who is passionate about providing great service to our customers. The Sales Consultant position is responsible for guiding our customers through their furniture buying experience ensuring that they will love every purchase.

Our Sales Consultants are energetic, driven individuals who can recognize a sales opportunity. They know our product, follow up with to provide great customer service and find meaning in their work.

Qualifications Qualifications :

  • $20 Hour Guarantee Against Commissions - Better Producers Earn $60 - $100K Annually
  • College Degree or Design Degree
  • 3 years of professional Sales Experience

OR if you do not qualify for the above we offer :

  • $15 Guarantee Against Commissions - same earning potential as above
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), may be working towards it
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience or equivalent training preferred
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

SALES BEHAVIORS

  • Ensure an exceptional guest experience by working with all customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Effective Communication between customers and other employees
  • Provide all customers with after sale service
  • Consistently demonstrate professional sales skills using the companys proven sales method
  • Track prospective customers and follow up with the customer when new products or promotions arise that meet their needs.
  • Responsible for staying informed on all new and existing product lines
  • Submit timely and accurate sales reports as directed by manager
  • Self starter, highly motivated to achieve successful results
  • Embrace change and demonstrate a positive mental attitude
  • Maintaining high accuracy with writing invoices, special orders and customer follow up.
  • Perform non-selling activities, such as price product for promotional events, regular maintenance of price cards, maintain cleanliness in all areas of the showroom (ie.

light dusting and vacuuming).

Language Skills Requires skills to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Need to be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Demonstrate the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format.

Mathematical Skills Mathematical aptitude to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Also requires skills to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and the ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reach with hands and arms in any direction, ascend and descend ladders and stairs using feet and legs and / or hands and arms.

Stooping by bending downward and forward by bending at the waist, kneeling or bending at the knees to come to a rest on knee or knees, crouching by bending the body downward and forward, or crawling by moving about on hands or hands and feet.

The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visual acuity to perform activities such as : preparing and analyzing data or figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, and using measurement devices.

Reasoning Ability Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Need to be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
