We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Food and Beverage Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will bring a robust knowledge of accounting principles and a passion for the food and beverage sector.

As a Senior Food and Beverage Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions and records for our food and beverage operations.

Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting and helping our business make data-driven decisions to enhance profitability and efficiency.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee daily financial transactions, including auditing, reconciling, and processing expenses related to food and beverage operations.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, forecast budgets, and advise on cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards specific to the food and beverage industry.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to manage inventory costs, vendor negotiations, and supply chain efficiencies.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Assist with the preparation for external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in strategic planning and the development of financial strategies to enhance business growth and profitability.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, specifically in the food and beverage or hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and Crunchtime are preferred, and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in performing daily cash reconciliations and adherence to critical internal controls over cash and cash drawers in a food and beverage operation or bank.
  • Strong understanding of inventory controls, shrinkage, spoilage, and the like
  • Keen understanding of the unique state and federal payroll issues of a food and beverage operation
