Insight Global is working with NVIDIA to look for an experienced test technician / engineer to support a new autonomous driving features development.
NVIDIA is the leading artificial intelligence computing company and are paving the way with innovations in gaming, visualization, supercomputing and self-driving cars.
As a key member of our Autonomous Vehicles team, you will be supporting the software testing of NVIDIA's autonomous driving software stack.
NVIDIA gives automakers, Tier 1 suppliers, automotive research institutions, and start-ups the power and flexibility to develop and deploy breakthrough artificial intelligence systems for self-driving vehicles.
This particular team has 6 engineers that you would be working with. The hiring manager is truly looking for someone who is well versed with the skills needed to understand software when something is broken and to be able to debug it.
The validation and integration aspect of this role is crucial. Someone who cannot write code from scratch will not do well in this role.
Must-haves :
- Proficient in writing and reading C++ code for integration function and validation
- Proficient in coding in python for data analytics
- Experience coming from an L3 or L4 autonomous vehicle company
- Experience with testing and validating automotive systems or similar robotic applications
- Proven track record of creating test plans, executing test cases to collect product health metric and reporting it back with detailed documentation
- Valid driver’s license
Plusses :
- Experience with automotive Tier-1 supplier or OEM
- Deep knowledge of Autonomous Vehicle and ADAS features
- Degree in field of mechanical, electrical, automotive or computer engineering
What you'll be doing :
- Support testing, quality assessment, and validation of AV and ADAS features
- Develop and document test procedures
- Perform in-car testing and record test results
- Work with operation team to arrange logistics for testing
- Report product issues in a timely and structured manner using issue management system (JIRA)
- Work closely with product team to keep a pulse on overall product health
- Work with engineering teams to define useful categorizations of issues and efficient triage methods for them
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
