This role involves two main functions : cooking corn in a large kettle and cleaning the surrounding food production areas during downtime between batches.
Key Responsibilities :
Cooking Corn :
- Operate and monitor the large kettle to cook corn according to specified procedures.
- Maintain precise control over cooking times and temperature ranges to ensure quality.
- Follow timely procedures to handle and process corn before and after cooking.
Cleaning and Sanitization :
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of food production areas, machinery, floors, and walls.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for cleaning and sanitization to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively during off time between cooking batches.
Qualifications :
- MUST SPEAK SPANISH
- Maintain standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Ability to follow strict guidelines and procedures for both cooking and cleaning tasks.
- Good time management skills to balance cooking and cleaning responsibilities.
- Experience in a food production environment is a plus.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform mild-physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to lift and move corn and supplies as needed.
