Scrum Master

IQ Clarity's client, a SaaS platform building AI tools for attorneys, is looking for a Scrum Master.

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate Agile development across our teams, driving efficient and effective Agile ceremonies and ensuring adherence to the Agile train framework.

As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for guiding teams to follow Agile best practices, ensuring collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement throughout the development lifecycle.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time and align with the organization's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities :

• Facilitate all Agile ceremonies , including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives , ensuring they are effective and time-boxed.
• Ensure the team adheres to Agile principles and fosters a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
• Guide the team through the Agile train , ensuring alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders for smooth, coordinated release planning and execution.
• Work with Product Owners to maintain a well-refined and prioritized product backlog, helping to break down complex tasks and define clear user stories.
• Remove impediments that prevent the team from reaching their sprint goals, acting as a servant-leader and an advocate for the team's success.
• Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and the Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure cross-team dependencies and risks are identified and managed effectively.
• Coach and mentor the team on Agile practices, promoting continuous improvement and encouraging innovation in processes and delivery.
• Ensure visibility of progress , sprint health, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to all stakeholders using metrics, burn-down charts, and other tools.
• Work closely with DevOps, QA, and other engineering teams to promote automated testing, continuous integration, and faster deployment cycles.
• Assist in release planning and coordination of major releases across the Agile train, ensuring smooth handoffs between teams and successful deployment to production.

Qualifications :

• 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with a strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Proven experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and ensuring adherence to time-boxed, efficient meetings.
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile scaling methodologies, with experience working within an Agile Release Train (ART) .
• Strong understanding of backlog management, story writing, and task breakdown .
• Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps, or similar for tracking team progress and reporting.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a servant leader and effectively remove obstacles for the team.
• Excellent communication skills , with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• A continuous improvement mindset , always looking for ways to refine processes and enhance team performance.

Bonus Skills :

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
• Experience with Agile Release Train (ART) execution under frameworks like SAFe .
• Familiarity with DevOps and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Experience in software development or engineering environments is a plus.
