V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a PowerBuilder Developer for our premier client in Lansing, Michigan .

Education and Experience

• Some college preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline.
• PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher).
• Willingness to learn.

Top Skills & Years of Experience :

• Resource must have a high level of SQL query writing skills to write complex queries to pull data from a Sybase and MS SQL Server database - 10+ years.
• T-SQL Query Writing - 10+ Years.
• Must have experience documenting and performing unit testing - 10+ Years.
• PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher) - 5+ Years.
• Experience working with source control technologies such as TFS / Azure DevOps, or GIT. - 5+ Years.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

PowerBuilder Developer : Current experience 5 years.

Research and modify PowerBuilder source code to document the steps the application uses with data.

T-SQL Query Writing : 10 years

• Resource must have a high level of SQL query writing skills to write complex queries to pull data from a Sybase and MS SQL Server database.
• Must have experience developing processes to extract and manipulate data to support data migration and data cleansing of application data.

Data Management : 10 years.

Must have experience in performing data profiling, data mapping, data manipulation, validation, and analysis.

Source Control : 5 years.

Must have experience working with source control technologies such as TFS / Azure DevOps, or GIT.

Unit Testing : 5 years.

Must have experience documenting and performing unit testing to support program changes.

Documentation : 5 years.

Must have experience creating, updating, and maintaining documentation for programs, system specs, and flow diagrams.

Testing : 5 years.

Must be able to work with the client and / or Business Analyst to support test scenarios.

Production Support : 5 years.

Analyze and document identified problems to determine root cause and provide root cause analysis.

Change Management : 5 years.

Follow change management procedures and provide input to execute changes.
