Summary :

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops client’s multiple Blue Moon lander product lines.

To further Client's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

Responsibilities :

  • Work in the Lunar Permanence Fuel Cell team performing Thermal and Fluid analysis on components and integrated systems
  • Develop and validate fuel cell stack and balance of plant thermal and / or fluid models using Thermal Desktop, FloCAD, and MATLAB Simulink
  • Support the development of low and high-fidelity stack, component, pipe, and manifold models
  • Communicate analysis results to customers to inform design decisions and ensure requirements are met
  • Work closely with design engineers to ensure model accuracy and recommend design improvements

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, or related technical subject areas
  • years of relevant Thermal or Fluids analysis experience in Aerospace, Automotive, or another relevant industry
  • Sound fundamentals in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and physics-based mathematical models
  • Ability to read, understand, and use Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for performing calculations for compressible, incompressible, and two-phase systems
  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment while demonstrating personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills

Desired :

  • or or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, or related technical subject areas
  • Experience working with the following : Thermal Desktop, FloCAD, MATLAB, Python scripting, Simulink, Amesim, GT Suite
  • Demonstrated anchoring first-principles models to higher-fidelity simulations and test data
  • Experience modeling steady-state and transient systems, specifically thermal and fluid systems
  • Understanding of Aerospace standard processes, methods, and procedures
  • Experience supporting testing and correlating models with test data
  • Experience creating P&IDs of fluid systems for compressible, incompressible, and two-phase systems

Compensation :

The pay rate range above is the base hourly pay range that Aditi Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, competencies, competencies, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
