Dental Assisting Faculty

Faculty members are primarily responsible for the teaching and learning process in the classroom. Faculty members facilitate and ensure student learning and mastery of course, program, and institutional learning outcomes as defined in the curriculum and course syllabi.

Faculty are supported and supervised by the Academic Dean, Program Director and / or Division Manager.

What We Offer : The targeted starting pay range for this position is between $20-$25 per hour. Our benefits program for part-time colleagues (working at least 20 hours per week) includes paid vacation and state-compliant sick leave.

Do you qualify? Yes, if you have experience in your field! Teaching experience is not required if you are an expert in the field and meet the below qualifications :

Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform

each essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed

below are representative of some of the knowledge, skill and / or ability required.

• Associate degree
• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Registered Dental Assistant
• Registered Dental Assistant and licensed in CA for a minimum of (2) years
• Radiology (X), Coronal Polish (CP), and Sealants (S) certified
• Two-hour teaching methodology in clinical evaluation certificate (Radiology, Coronal Polish, Sealants, and Infection control)
• 30-hour teaching methodology certificate issued by SJVC or CADAT
• BLS provider (AHA or ARC preferred)
• Computer skills preferred

Note : Certifications must be current and issued in CA

Schedule : Monday - Thursday 7 : 15am-12 : 00pm or 12 : 30pm-5 : 15 pm.
