Are you interested in helping children receive the education and care they deserve? Meelo is looking for dedicated, compassionate Speech Language Pathologists in the school setting.
It’s a rewarding position you’ll be an important member of a child’s care team and will see the results firsthand as you help improve that child’s life.
What you'll do :
- Work with a diverse range of students, tailoring services to meet their unique needs and developmental stages.
- Assist and evaluate students in speech, articulation, fluency, and language development, employing a holistic approach to enhance their communication skills.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and other school personnel to implement targeted interventions, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to student progress.
- Conduct assessments and provide comprehensive reports highlighting areas of strength and improvement, focusing on aspects of voice, speech, and fluency for informed decision-making.
- Develop unique treatment plans with a child and family-first mentality, considering the individual needs and circumstances of each student and their family.
- Actively participate in and / or conduct Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering valuable insights and recommendations to support students' communication goals and objectives.
- Adhere to confidentiality guidelines in accordance with HIPAA and / or State / Federal regulations, ensuring the privacy and security of information related to children and their families.
What You Bring :
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or Related Field
- Valid CA Speech Language Pathology Therapy (SLP) license
- Previous experience in a clinical or educational setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, families, and other professionals
- Strong leadership skills
