Quality Inspector
Summary for the Quality Inspector :
We are currently hiring Quality Inspectors for day shift and night shift in Troy, MI. Starting pay is up to $2 2 / hr. (Potentially higher for exceptional relevant experience)
Shift Times :
- Current Day shift is Monday to Friday 6 : 00am - 4 : 30pm and Saturday (as required) 6 : 00-11 : 00am
- Current Night shift is Monday to Thursday 4 : 00pm - 3 : 30am and Friday (as required) 4 : 00pm - 12 : 00am
Responsibilities include but not limited to :
- Supports First Piece Inspection, In-Process and Final Inspections
- Be able to work from work instructions, blueprints, engineering drawings, and other specific procedures
- Creates, completes, and compiles necessary documentation related to Quality Inspection
- Conduct in-process audits of manufacturing operations
- Ensure that proper inspection methods are being utilized during manufacturing
- Interface with all departments
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures
- Maintain an acceptable customer delegation approval such as DQR and SIDA Delegations
- Supports production priorities with a sense of urgency
- Ability to perform inspections of product to the blueprint specifications (.00005 Tolerances) using standard measuring instruments such as :
- micrometers, bore gages, optical comparators, air gaging, surface analyzing equipment, mikrokator, calipers, height gages, CMM, Keyence Vision systems, laser micrometers, etc.
- Ensures that Final Inspection documentation is complete and ready for the customer
Knowledge of :
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T
- Strong working knowledge of inspection equipment
- Working knowledge and use of Word, Excel
- Capable of adapting to and interfacing with customer portals
- Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality Systems
- AS9102 First Article Inspection Documentation
Experience / Education :
- 5+ years in Quality Assurance
- High school diploma / GED preferred
- Must be a citizen of The United States
