We are looking for a talented and skilled Construction Project Manager - Mechanical to join our team at our office located in Somerset, New Jersey.

In this role, you will work on a large, complex site and lead the mechanical portions of construction projects to successful completion - safely, on time, and on budget.

You will also guide our engineering, construction management, and superintendent teams to achieve project goals. Additionally, you will maintain preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans;

project scopes of work; budgets; and schedules. In coordination with accounting, you'll manage vendor and subcontractor invoicing and client billing.

Additional Responsibilities

Monitor project costs and field conditions and ensure changes are fully reflected in cost reports.

Monitor design content and coordinate design revisions for constructability and compliance.

Coordinate the construction schedule with design, commissioning, and qualification schedule requirements.

Lead the established site safety program in your area and monitor performance with CMs and Superintendents on site.

Interact with the client regularly, listening and ensuring that their needs are met, with a focus on the IPS client experience.

Build strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients, as you develop solutions, all while building life-impacting facilities.

Qualifications & Requirements :

10+ years of experience in project delivery or a related discipline.

Experience managing mechanical construction (HVAC, chilled water, steam, etc.) for multi-million-dollar projects.

Supervisory and business development experience.

OSHA 30 or ability to obtain and maintain.

Has a strong mechanical background, an uncompromising commitment to safety and quality, and a focus on client engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Experience in the construction of pharmaceutical, biotech, and / or life science facilities.

Ability to communicate effectively with teams and clients, team building, and strong work ethic.

Must be able to build rapport with project staff.

Safety

This position will have 25% travel, or as required by the assigned project.

You may be assigned to a client site for an extended period of time.

Overnight travel or staying in the city of the Client’s location is possible depending on the assignment.

You will visit Client sites and will be required to adhere to stated safety rules.

This position is a safety-sensitive position. The employee is considered a field contractor supervisor and acts in a supervisory role for fieldwork for IPS employees or subcontractors.
