O ne of the largest residential and commercial security companies in the country Is looking for YOU! Since 2001 we have placed over 200 consultants nationwide.

We are looking to add Residential Installation Technicians in the Winston-Salem / Greensboro area. This need is being driven by an increase in customer base .

Buzz from The Property Brothers has attracted a new segment of customers seeking home automation and protection services which is also driving business!

In this role, Technicians will be installing new services 100% of the time. They are quick-connect systems (a keypad mounted to the wall) where the wire is run through the wall for power to the keypad, cameras, and sensors that are part of the system.

All the work will be done in customer homes so it's very important that T echnicians have a customer service mindset and are customer friendly.

You will be working with the customer to ensure the equipment brought to the home is correct and to determine the best places to put the equipment in the home.

You will be required to use drills to run the cable and install the equipment, and will also be responsible to test and train the customer on using the system once the installation is complete.

As far as logistics go the jobs will be 60 miles or less from where you , the Technician, lives. The majority of the customer sites run East-West from Burlington, NC to Winston-Salem.

Candidates from Greensboro / Kernersville are ideal as those locations are right in the middle.

The first 2-4 weeks will be training and the timetable will be determined by the level of prior experience. Y ou will be riding with a lead tech for the first few weeks, then will eventually lead the jobs under mentor supervision.

Schedule :

Days will start at 8 : 00 and run until 4 : 30 (or longer depending on when the last job starts / finishes). The schedule rotates Tuesday-Saturday then Monday-Friday the following week.

So, S undays off followed by a 3-day weekend the following week.

Techs can expense mileage from Point A to Point B- anything greater than 40 miles between jobs but nothing from the last job home.

For example, if you leave your house and travel 50 miles to the first job you can claim 10 miles for reimbursement. If you travel 39 miles from the first job to the second you cannot expense any.

If the third job is 41 miles away you can claim 1 mile, etc.

Pay is hourly plus commission. Techs will receive 6% of the dollar value of what you upsell. Techs can start counting their hourly time after 45 minutes to the first job.

For example, if the first job is an hour away you can start counting time after 45 mins so you will get paid for 15 mins before getting to the site.

If the first job is 30 minutes away you will start counting your time when you get to the site.

This position is a 10-12 month contract to hire.

Technicians must be willing / able to work in tight spaces (i.e. crawl spaces, attics), must use their own vehicle to travel from job to job, and must be able to store a foldable 10-foot ladder and basic hand tools in the vehicle.
