Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction is responsible for

  • Assist the Project Manager in developing project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors, to ensure timely and successful project delivery
  • Assist with the preparation of bid packages, RFPs, and RFIs
  • Track project progress and provide regular status updates to the Project Manager and clients
  • Monitor and control project costs, identifying and addressing potential budget overruns
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project reports
  • Assist with the resolution of project issues and conflicts
  • Ensure compliance with project safety and environmental standards
  • Assist with the development and management of project schedules
  • Assist with the closeout of projects, including punch lists, warranty work, and final payment

The Successful Applicant

The Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction will have the following skillset

  • College Degree required
  • 3+ years of experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with Procore is a plus
  • Ability to analyze and revise internal processes to improve efficiency
  • Detail oriented
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
