Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular ICU
Location : Plano, TX
Shift : 12-Hour Nights (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM)
Shifts Per Week : 3
Scheduled Hours : 36 hours per week
Hourly Pay Rate : $32 - $53 / hour
Job Overview :
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), you will provide patient care within a universal bed model, including tele-PCU and ECMO.
You will oversee patient care delivery, conduct detailed clinical assessments, and develop individualized care plans for cardiovascular patients.
You will also assist physicians with complex cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform patient assessments and implement care plans for critically ill cardiovascular patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide safe and effective care.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to care plans.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on cardiovascular health, procedures, and post-operative care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Work with colleagues to ensure timely follow-up and patient-centered care.
- Utilize critical thinking to prioritize patient safety and care efficiency.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions, contributing to the improvement of care standards.
Skills and Competencies :
- Proficiency in common cardiovascular ICU procedures, hemodynamics, and medications
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of nursing ethics and patient privacy rights
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Qualifications :
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 1 year of recent full-time experience in Cardiovascular ICU / CVICU, Telemetry, or Cardiac PCU / IMC (2 years preferred)
- Active RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 30 days of hire)
