Additional Schedule Details : Monday - Friday between 8 : 00 a.m. and 4 : 00 p.m. with some Saturday commitments expected.
Primary work will happen between 11 : 00 a.m. and 3 : 00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Must be available 12-2pm on Wednesdays to assist with weekly Maroon Madness College Visits.
Hourly Rate : $8.50 per hour

Job Summary / Basic Functions
The College of Education and Applied Human Sciences (CEAHS) Student Ambassadors are responsible for assisting in the creation of a welcoming, positive, and impactful college visit experience within the College of Education and Applied Human Sciences at Eastern Kentucky University.
Working primarily with prospective students, families, and guests, the ambassador role is crucial to informing of the academic programs we offer, providing a student perspective of the academic experience, and providing an environment where inquiry is met with informed perspectives.
The ambassador position requires consistent reliability, high caliber interpersonal skills, and a desire to work with the public on a regular basis.
The ambassador position is responsible for the following :
- Leading tours of prospective students, families, and / or high school students to show CEAHS academic buildings and spaces where our students thrive in their major
- Participate in in-person events which include but are not limited to : Spotlight days (Fall semester), Junior Days (Spring semester), Admitted Student Tours, Maroon Madness visits, and other in-person or virtual events hosted by the EKU CEAHS or Office of Admissions
- Attend and participate in required meetings and training as outlined by the CEAHS faculty / staff and / or the Office of Admissions.
- Other duties as assigned which relate to assisting prospective students, families, guests, inquiries, and applicants. This may include assisting with the management of social media accounts or occasionally taking pictures at events.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be enrolled at EKU
Preferred Qualifications :
Prefer students majoring in areas that fall within our academic college and departments :
- Teaching, Learning, and Educational Leadership (TLEL)
- Applied Human Sciences (AHS)
- American Sign Language and Interpreter Education (ASLIE)
- Clinical Therapeutic Programs (CTP)
Job Duties :
- 50% - Leading tours of prospective students, families, and / or high school students to show CEAHS academic buildings and spaces where our students thrive in their major - (Essential)
