What else do I need to know?

This paid internship is a 12-week commitment starting May 2025. A sign-on bonus may be provided for out of area candidates.

Ready to roll up your sleeves? You can expect these responsibilities, but we know you'll put your twist on them.

• Planning and executing As an Engineering Intern, you will work on multiple new equipment projects to define the scope required to launch a new product, add capacity or reduce the cost to produce a product.
• The Bottom Line - Assisting in analysis, discovery and execution of production line efficiency and sustainability improvements to increase production rate, reduce waste and reduce our environmental impact is another great experience you will have this summer.

Continuous Improvement anyone?

Your seat at the table Part of your internship may consist of participating in production plant trips to gain equipment information, performance data and layout development, and gather process and product information.

This internship may also take you to plants outside of Michigan, travel can range up to 40%.

What Else? You will also have the opportunity to assist with development of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and support equipment design to improve line capabilities, product quality, safety and more.

Ingredients you bring!

• Student must be a Sophomore, Junior or non-graduating Senior status during the duration of the internship (May 2025 - July 2025) and in one of the following Engineering bachelor’s programs : Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Biosystems, Computer or Electrical
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Ability to demonstrate creative yet practical problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn new things quickly, often on-the-fly with technical manuals or experienced help
• Strong communication skills, both written and orally a PLUS
