Summary :
The Program Manager will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of the AmeriCorps Native Nations grant program.
This position requires a dynamic and results-driven individual with a passion for serving Native American communities, expertise in healthcare and STEM education initiatives, and strong leadership and project management skills.
Work closely with the Managing Director on all aspects of PEDCO's development needs, including economic development, workforce development, health development, technology development, and overall development.
Primarily responsible for the strategic development and management of program related grant infrastructure to include grant related implementation.
Work closely with the Managing Director to identify appropriate community stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with tribal leaders, elders, community organizations, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to ensure program relevance, sustainability, and cultural sensitivity.
Collaborate with community partners to identify opportunities for program expansion, resource-sharing, volunteer recruitment, and collective impact, leveraging existing networks and assets within Native communities.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties :
- Lead the development and implementation of the program's strategic plan, in collaboration with key stakeholders, to ensure alignment with grant objectives and community needs.
- Design comprehensive healthcare and STEM education initiatives that reflect the cultural context and priorities of Native American communities, integrating best practices and evidence-based approaches.
- Conductmeetingstoidentifyandprioritizeprojectneedsandopportunities .
- Ensure timely submission of grant deliverables, progress reports, and financial documentation, maintaining accurate records and documentation of program activities within the AmeriCorps Native Nations grant program.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting communication, teamwork, and mutual respect among program staff and partners.

- Oversee all aspects of grant management, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with AmeriCorps regulations and grant requirements.

- Oversee the implementation of healthcare and STEM education initiatives, monitoring program activities, outcomes, and participant satisfaction to ensure program effectiveness and impact.
- DevelopandsubmitmonthlyreportstotheManaging Directoronprogresstowardand / orneedsto complete tasks and address priorities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive evaluation plan, including data collection tools and methodologies, to assess program outcomes, identify lessons learned, and inform continuous improvement efforts.
- Otherdutiesasassigned,includingleveragingexpertisetoexploreinnovativegrantopportunitiesand strategic partnerships.
Relationships and Authority :
This position will not have any supervisory responsibilities but will have the possibility to add supervisory responsibilities in the future.
New program development and planning functions. Oversees AmeriCorps Native Nations grant, to include oversight of volunteers
Qualifications : Minimum :
Minimum :
- Bachelor'sdegreeindegree in public health, education, social work, or a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Two years of work-related experience in program management, or process development.
- One year of experience in working with populations experiencing healthcare disparities, STEM education, or cultural competency issues affecting Native American communities.
- ComputerproficiencyinMicrosoftWord,Excel,PowerPoint,andAccess
- Excellentwrittenandoralcommunication skills including experience giving presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
- Validdriver'slicenseandbe
- Successfully pass drug and alcohol testing, motor vehicle, education, character, and criminal background checks .
- Ableandwillingto travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred :
- Master'sdegreein degree in public health, education, social work, or a related field.
- Knowledge of AmeriCorps regulations, grant management principles, and reporting requirements.
- Knowledgeandunderstanding of non-profits, and / or Tribal
- Non-profits volunteer development experience
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a passion for serving underserved populations and advancing social justice.
- One year experience working with Native Americans or Native American organizations.
- Knowledge and understanding of Public Law 93-638 Indian Self-Determination Act.
Preference will be given to Ponca Tribe of Nebraska members or members of a federally recognized tribe. However, all qualified individuals are eligible.
