CAT Field Adjuster
American National is seeking a full-time Catastrophe (CAT) Field Claims Adjuster based out of the New Jersey area to manage CAT claims.
In this role you will play a vital role in assisting policyholders affected by natural disasters, such as hurricanes, floods, wildfires, and other catastrophic events.
You’ll be responsible for evaluating property damage, assessing coverage, and expediting the claims process to ensure prompt and fair settlements for our valued customers.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct on-site inspections of damaged properties to assess the extent of the loss and determine coverage eligibility.
- Document findings, collect evidence, and compile detailed reports to support claim settlements.
- Collaborate with policyholders, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate the restoration process.
- Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in claims handling.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to policyholders throughout claims process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance claims management efficiency.
- Maintain continuing education (CE) courses for required state licensing.
What You’ll Need
- Property claims handling experience preferred (Relevant work experience may be considered) Example : Home Construction, Estimating positions
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage types, and claim procedures
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Willingness to travel to all of our operating areas within the contiguous US and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during peak claim periods.
- Currently hold appropriate state adjuster license or obtain following date of hire (American National will incur fees associated / No out of pocket expenses)
- Successfully pass a motor vehicle check and possess an active driver’s license
Salary for this position can range from $67938.00 for candidates who are minimally qualified through $101887.50 for more highly qualified candidates.
