Our client is looking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist in their San Diego, CA office. Our client offers an excellent work-life balance, comprehensive benefits, and ample opportunities for professional growth.
Position Overview : The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience and will be a part of a team that is responsible for managing the organization’s accounts payable processes, handling the accounting reconciliations and the monthly close process for the group.
Key Responsibilities :
Review, verify, and process invoices for payment in a timely manner.
Maintain and update vendor files, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Prepare and enter journal entries related to accounts payable transactions.
Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.
Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and account analysis.
Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, including checks and ACH transactions.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and standards.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
Pay Details : $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
