Overview
AB Student Team Leaders recruit AB participants, assist in AB program marketing, organize and lead group meetings, training activities, and a reflection dinner, promote team building, and plan the agenda for the AB week.
We are hiring Student Team Leaders to co-lead each of the four AB experiences.
Roles & Responsibilities :
1. Plan and facilitate pre-break team trainings, team meetings, and activities.
2. Coordinate & facilitate daily reflection activities and group journaling during the AB week.
3. Attend weekly team leader training during the fall / spring semester.
4. Participate in AB program marketing activities (info sessions, tabling events, social media etc.
5. Organize the post-break AB reception dinner with student leader team.
6. Ensure that your group is prepared for the post-break reception and create a slide show presentation.
7. Meet regularly and communicate consistently with MRISJ staff supervisors for guidance.
8. Attend and actively participate in all scheduled trainings, workshops and meetings.9. Will be expected to represent the MRISJ in various capacities across campus to provide a student’s perspective of the work of the MRISJ including but not limited to staffing information tables or events, presenting to classrooms or students clubs, sharing about their experience with small or large groups and other duties as assigned.
To succeed in this role, you will need the following :
1. AB leaders must be available the week of March 9 15, 2025.
2. AB leaders must be available to attend weekly trainings.
3. Comfortable with communicating with a variety of people (peers / students, staff, faculty & community)
4. Demonstrated passion for social justice and civic engagement along with a steadfast commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, access, and inclusion.
5. Ability to be flexible and adaptable within a fast-paced, nonprofit environment.
6. Strong oral and written communication skills to convey ideas and information with students, staff, and community organizations.
7. Strong time management skills and ability to self-motivate and work independently once provided instruction.
8. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Requirements
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits at Bridgewater State University in good standing.
