Overview

JST is seeking a highly qualified Data Analyst SME to join our team at the 711th Human Performance Wing, United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM).

This position involves providing subject matter expertise in data analysis and management to support the Aerospace Medicine Studies and Analysis Operational Support Team.

This is a full-time position at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. JST offers a full benefit package, a collaborative work environment and strong company culture.

Data Analyst SME Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced data analysis of existing datasets and create new datasets for analysis using various tools and methodologies.
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases / data systems.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
  • Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Design, develop, and maintain databases and data systems necessary for projects and department functions.
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and publications.
  • Provide technical support for database management, data analysis, and data visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with other team members to support data needs and ensure data integrity.

Data Analyst SME Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, database management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software such as SAS, R, Python, or similar.
  • Advanced skills in SQL and experience with database design and maintenance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Current HIPAA training certification.
  • Signed NDA in place based on potential access to confidential, proprietary, and / or sensitive information.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with military or healthcare data.
  • Familiarity with Air Force medical records systems and standards.
  • Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Schedule

Normal work hours are Monday to Friday, 0730-1630. Flexibility may be required to support specific tasks.

Clearance Requirements

  • All contractor personnel require a minimum of a Tier 1 background check (T1) / SF85 for any position that requires access to the internet, use of automated information systems, or unescorted entry into restricted or controlled areas.
  • MUST be able to pass a US Government Security Clearance.
