Qualifications

What you'll need

Education : Master Degree from an accredited university and admission to the practice of law in at least one jurisdiction in an IDB Invest member country.

Additional specialized education in any of the following areas is a plus : environmental law, project finance, law of international organizations.

  • Experience : Al teast 5 years but less than 10 years of relevant legal experience in handling projects with environmental and social issues, along with professional experience in cross-border transactions involving both civil and common law systems.
  • Languages : Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Requirements

  • Citizenship : You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
  • Consanguinity : You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Type of contract and duration

  • Type of contract : Products and External Services Consultant (PEC), Retainer.
  • Length of contract : 260 days in a period of 12 months.
  • Work Location : Remote
